As it has been since its inception, Maid-Rite Specialty Foods has had a strong commitment to quality above and beyond that required by the government or industry standards. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Maid-Rite began developing a HACCP Program long before it was mandated by the USDA.

HACCP (pronounced has-sip) stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points. HACCP is a proactive, prevention-oriented system of food manufacturing focusing on preventing and controlling food safety hazards. Under our HACCP System, the entire production process was analyzed and assessed to determine potential food safety hazards.

Every point along the production process where a loss of control could result in an unacceptable food safety risk was identified and labeled as a "Critical control Point (CCP)."These CCPs are monitored throughout the entire production process, from our Pre-Operational Sanitation Inspection before operations begin, until the Sanitation Crew completes the cleaning and sanitizing of the entire plant, to keep the process in check. The results of monitoring the CCPs are documented and the company keeps these records on file. Our HACCP system guarantees that the consumer receives a safe, wholesome product every time a Maid-Rite product is purchased
